Giuditta Cordero-Moss
PRESIDENT
Giuditta Cordero-Moss, Dr. juris (Oslo), PhD (Moscow), is Professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Oslo, where she teaches International Commercial Law, Private International Law, Comparative Law and Norwegian Law of Obligations.
An originally Italian lawyer, she was a corporate lawyer for years before joining academia, where she researches the issues that she had met in her practice and meets as an arbitrator.
She publishes in Norway and internationally and is often invited to lecture internationally. She held the special lectures at the Hague Academy of International Law in 2014, and was the co-director of the Academy’s Centre for Studies and Research on arbitration and the applicable law (2021).
She is a member, among others, of the Curatorium of the Hague Academy of International Law (2019-2024), of the International Court of Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce (2018-2024), of the UNCITRAL Working Group II on Arbitration (since 2007); of the Norwegian Governmental Tariff Board (2015-2024), of the Board of the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway (Vice Chairman, 2014-2026), and of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters (since 2016). She was the President (2017-20) and a Judge (2007-2020) of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Administrative Tribunal.

Kansu Okyay

Kansu is the author of a PhD thesis on hybrid dispute resolution clauses in international law, which was awarded the Prize for the best PhD thesis in private law by the Faculty of Law of the University of Strasbourg. She has been a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institutes in Hamburg and Luxembourg, the University of London (UCL), and the University of Galatasaray. Her teaching and research activities focus on private international law, international commercial arbitration, and comparative law.

Ewa Baginska

Since 1999, she has been working on the harmonisation of tort law in European countries, as a member of the European Centre for Tort and Insurance Law in Vienna and a Polish member of the European Group on Tort Law. She has given lectures at several dozen international conferences and congresses; she has lectured as a visiting professor at European universities (e.g. Coimbra, Florence, Pisa), CUA in Washington and the Jagiellonian University. She has promoted eight PhDs in law. She was a collaborator and a member of the Commission for the Codification of Civil Law.
Professor Baginska is an international expert in the area of civil law, in particular tort law incl. the specific areas of product liability, public authorities liability, damages for violations of human rights, comparative torts and consumer protection law. She has authored six books as well as almost 200 other contributions in those areas. She is the editor and co-auhtor of 'Damages for Violations of Human Rights. A Comparative Study of Domestic Legal Systems', Springer Verlag (2016) and co-authored 'Tort law in Poland" (Kluwer Law International, Wolters Kluwer) 2nd edn. 2022 (with M. Tulibacka). She has been appointed as expert in international court and arbitration procedings.
She is particularly devoted to the comparative method. She is titular member of the International Academy of Comparative Law. She also sits on the Council of the European Law Institute. She acts as a National Correspondent for the Journal of Civil Law Studies (Luisiana, US). She is a member of the Society of European Contract Law and several advisory boards of law journals in the field of comparative law (incl. European Review of Private Law, Comparative Law Review ed. Univ of N. Copernicus Torun) and is on board of editors of two national journals (Państwo i Prawo, [State and Law] and the Insurance Quarterly Review).

Nicolás Etcheverry

He is Professor of Ethics and Juridical Deontology at Universidad de Montevideo and at IEEM (Instituto de Estudios Empresariales de Montevideo - “Business School of Montevideo”) - Professor of Philosophy of Law at the School of Law of Universidad de Montevideo and Professor of Rhetoric at the School of Communications, Universidad de Montevideo. He is still a member of the Council at the School of Law at Universidad de Montevideo.
Lecturer in Philosophy of Law at the School of Law, Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay (Grade 3). Languages: Spanish (native), English and French (fluently) and – Italian (fairly).
He has several publications and books such as “Un Torneo de todos: Ética en la persona, la empresa y el Estado.” (new extended edition, 2017) – “El auge del indiferentismo” (1993) – Ética Profesional, ¿Por qué y para qué? (2000), “In search of universal ethics” (2011), “Trust, and ethical and cultural attitude” (2015), “Bilingual Study and Research – The Need and the Challenges” (2021) as well as several articles published in the School of Law Magazine since 2007 up do date.
He has been a lecturer and conferencist in different cities such as Buenos Aires - Rosario – Osnabruck – Vienna – Porto Alegre - Minneapolis – Washington – Miami and Asunción.

She has been a member of the Association of International Negotiators- AIPN since 1997, where she served the Board for two terms. She is a member of the Education Advisory Board of AIPN and a coordinator of the Student Chapter at UERJ-Rio de Janeiro. At the editorial front she is a Chief editor of the Brazilian Journal of Oil Gas and Energy Law Journal –RBDP, edited at UERJ and a member of the Executive Committee of the Journal of World Energy Law and Business –JWELB, edited by Oxford University Press.
