On June 13th 2019, Ecuador’s Constitutional Court approved same-sex marriage ( 5-to-4 ruling). Ecuador joins a handful of Latin American nations — Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia and Uruguay — that have legalized same-sex marriage in the recent years.
